I like to think I’m a fairly sensible person; sometimes beyond my age, sometimes a little bit below –I admit it-. There’s not much about myself I take pride in, but my mind… my mind has always been one.  It’s been the one constant in my life that kept me from absolutely hating myself.

I am merely writing this to express how sad, alone, and pathetically worthless I have been feeling.

If you're gonna lie, at LEAST make it convinicing! Oh my god, that's the best excuse I've heard to date. Good lord, did you really think I was gonna fall for that? Oh my god, people are IDIOTS.

Just Kidding - July 2011

She called me her Kentucky Cutie.

Never go to summer camp, you might fall in love.
We spent three weeks together in Vermont. It wasn't long enough. To the moment we drove away I had my arm around her. She's the perfect height for it, with her arm round my waist and mine round her shoulders. What did we talk about? I don't remember. When did I start loving her? I don't remember. Another time & place... we would have been a wonderful couple. I'm sure of it. She lives in Seattle. I should have called her Seattle Sweetie. She made me a ring. It's a Möbius strip. Goes on forever. She probably doesn't even know it. She drew a picture of me. She likes to draw old-fashioned renaissancey women, all soft curves and downcast eyes. In mine, I am beautiful. Is that how she saw me, all smooth and gazing out of the scene? She falls into an Italian accent most of the time, even though she's from Romania (adopted) and lived in Morocco (speaks French). The first time I talked to her she told me about drag queens and shower-curtain togas. She has a necklace that says "You are loved beyond measure" and her neighbors gave it to her which isn't creepy cuz they're really close. She wore a sexy vintage dress, black & jacquard, something straight out of Mad Men. That was for the dance. Usually it was jeans and tees for her. She'd wear her hair up but I did like it down, and her bangs were perfect for her face. Did I mention how we met? We talked about renaissance dresses. Yes, and stood in the middle of the road for an hour, talking. She was so excited to see me always, exclaiming even if it was only a short time later. And she talked to everyone, sometimes she'd accidentally abandon me at meals because she'd started a conversation with someone. But it was hard to be mad at her. I don't think I ever was. Oh, why are you so far away? Do you know that I love you this way? Did you imagine us secretly kissing in the woods too? Did you secretly think to yourself that we could've been an excellent couple? Will I ever see you again?

I saw her again this summer. I don't love her any more. But she is an amazing person and I'll never forget her.
